NEW MASTERCLASS FORMAT
The BAETS Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery Masterclass is now running as two consecutive days (1st & 2nd of March 2027).
Delegates who book to attend both days, please book on the Thyroid Masterclass and select the full fee (£250.00/£225.00) and only after, the £70.00 fee on the Parathyroid Masterclass (THE DISCOUNT IS AVAILABLE ONLY ONLY IF ATTENDING BOTH COURSES).
Please be aware that the special offer only applies to delegates who book on both courses at the same time. The college retain the right to cancel your booking if necessary.
Overview
An opportunity to enhance and update your knowledge in all aspects of parathyroid practice from work-up and diagnostics to peri-operative management and operative techniques.

Aims & Objectives
- Provide an updated review of parathyroid diseases, focusing on calcium balance, biochemical assessment, and how to secure a reliable diagnosis.
- Understand new tools for finding parathyroid disease, including advanced scans, intraoperative PTH tests, and fluorescence imaging.
- Learn team-based approaches for treating complex parathyroid diseases, failed or recurrent surgeries, and hereditary cases.
- Build real-world decision skills in parathyroid surgery using workshops focused on planning, standard care, and complex reoperations.
Learning Outcomes
- Explain how calcium balance works and use this knowledge to diagnose primary and renal hyperparathyroidism.
- Evaluate the role of imaging and modern tools before and during surgery for all parathyroid cases.
- Design management strategies for diverse parathyroid cases, from routine care to complex reoperations, within a collaborative team setting.

Please do not arrange travel or accommodation until you receive a final confirmation email from the Education Team. After making payment, you will receive a PDF receipt. Your application will then be reviewed, and the Education Team will confirm your place.
