This webinar will provide a brief insight into congenital cardiac surgery concerning single ventricle circulation, including typical morphological substrates, the physiology of balanced circulations, the Norwood procedure, Glenn procedure and Fontan procedure.

To provide learners with a working understanding of the basic principles underpinning single ventricle palliation.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand the single ventricle circulation, including typical morphological substrates, the physiology of balanced circulations, the Norwood procedure, Glenn procedure and Fontan procedure, such that they feel confident to tackle questions in the written component of the Intercollegiate Exam in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
