Special Care Dentistry
This innovative series of webinars, supported by the British Society of Disability and Oral Health will be delivered by key speakers in Special Care Dentistry. The content will involve a broad range of expertise across a wide variety of disciplines in health and social care, combining a comprehensive, holistic approach for dental care of people with special care dentistry needs.
The aim of the webinars will be to provide up to date knowledge on preventive techniques, dilemmas and treatment for patients who are unable to accept routine dental care. The specialist led topics are targeted for those who provide care from primary to tertiary dental services at any level of their career.
The partnership of the British Society of Disability and Oral Health and The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh for the webinars provides an excellent opportunity to create a forum for clinicians who provide Special Care Dentistry; a fundamental step forward to improving oral health inequalities which is required to meet the complex requirements of special care dentistry.
