Overview
Pelvic floor disorders encompasses a challenging range of symptoms, decision-making and surgery. Symptoms are often multi-system requiring complex MDT working. Trainees often struggle to gain experience in this area of colorectal surgery prior to FRCS examination. This webinar will focus on developing a system for clinical assessment and surgical decision making for patients with faecal incontinence.
Aims
To learn the key principles in the assessment and surgical management of patients with faecal incontinence.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to:
- Develop a system for clinical assessment of patients with faecal incontinence.
- Understand when to request appropriate investigations such as defaecating proctogram, anorectal manometry and endo-anal US.
- Understand surgical decision making for faecal incontinence surgery.
