Management of appendix tumours, pseudomyxoma peritonei and peritoneal malignancy
11th June 2025, 19:00 to 20:00 BST
Overview
Appendix tumours include a heterogenous group of epithelial and non-epithelial pathologies with varying degrees of malignant potential. These are rare tumours, but it is estimated that the incidence of appendix tumours in appendicectomy specimens is approximately 1%. The diagnosis and treatment of appendix tumours are evolving with a better understanding of their histopathology and molecular characteristics. During this webinar, we will use a multidisciplinary team approach, including discussions with radiologist, pathologist, surgeon, oncologist and clinical nurse specialist to better understand their management.
