Managing Lower GI Bleeding

Lower GI bleeding (LGIB) occurs usually in frail and comorbid patients with an attendant risk of mortality. Diagnosis of LGIB can be challenging and requires multi modal investigations. This webinar describes stratification tools to help identify patients who require urgent intervention and algorithms for management.

Mr Stephen Boyce
Stephen Boyce is a Consultant Colorectal surgeon trained in Edinburgh, Brisbane and Sydney with a passion for minimally invasive, laparoscopic and robotic surgery for colorectal cancer. He is a Regional Surgical Advisor for the RCSEd.
Mr Mark Bignell
Mark Bignell graduated from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Medical school in 2001 and undertook his higher general surgical training in Wessex with a subspecialty interest in Colorectal surgery. He was awarded the ASGBI prize for outstanding performance at the Intercollegiate Examination in General Surgery in 2016. He undertook a fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease in Oxford before accepting a substantive consultant post at the same institution.
