Part of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh 2025 'Clinical Updates' series, this webinar moderated by the current British Orthopaedic Association President, will help develop a deeper understanding of anterior knee pain through expert insights from surgery, physiotherapy, and radiology, helping you deliver an integrated, patient-centered care.

Aims

  • To provide a comprehensive, multidisciplinary understanding of anterior knee pain from the perspectives of surgery, physiotherapy, and radiology.
  • To explore current diagnostic challenges and evidence-based management strategies for anterior knee pain.
  • To foster collaborative decision-making among healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with anterior knee pain.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this webinar, participants should be able to:

  • Recognise the common and uncommon causes of anterior knee pain and understand the clinical relevance of each.
  • Interpret key imaging findings in anterior knee pain with guidance from a musculoskeletal radiologist.
  • Discuss surgical indications, options, and outcomes in the management of anterior knee pathologies.
  • Apply physiotherapy principles and rehabilitation strategies to optimise patient outcomes and prevent recurrence.
