This webinar is designed to help you understand the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in dentistry. It will comprise a foundational overview of use of AI in healthcare before focusing on its specific uses and applications in dental care and implications for Special Care Dentistry. The session will provide a realistic assessment of the current state of AI adoption and signpost you to external resources for further exploration and learning.

- Give a foundational overview of use of AI in healthcare.
- Looks at AI's specific uses and applications in dental care.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to:
- Describe different current and near future uses of AI in dentistry.
- Recognise what Artificial Intelligence (AI) is and is not, and its relevance to healthcare.
- Be aware of key questions to ask and resources to use when considering using AI products in Dentistry.
- Be aware of local processes and policies that impact on adoption.

Our panellists include:
Thomas Evans
Tom is a Clinical Research fellow at the University of Birmingham, working within the AI and Digital Health Team, and is graduate of the National NHS Clinical Artificial Intelligence Fellowship.
He works across Birmingham and the Black Country as a Specialist in Special Care Dentistry.
All work in research, clinic and education are driven by a dedication to a whole-system view of health and transformation of healthcare delivery using digital technologies.
