Overview
Ethics and advancements of technology are things that get forgotten in urgent care teaching, however they are at the forefront of much of our practice. This webinar will focus on the application of ethical practice and new technology to urgent care.
Aims
To provide an understanding of the challenges surrounding delivering ethical urgent care and using technology safely.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to:
- Understand the ethical principles of urgent care practice
- Apply ethical principles to their own clinical practice
- Describe the challenges that Artificial intelligence and new technology have on our practice
- Understand how they may better use new and advancing technology in their practice.
Panellists
Our panellists include:
- Simon Robinson - Simon is an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner, MDT Manager, and PhD candidate focused on child health, bioethics, and decision-making. He has developed urgent and primary care services, is a DFSEM diplomate member in Musculoskeletal Medicine, active in the College of Paramedics Public Health group, and a Trustee of the Blue Light Symphony Orchestra.
- Prof Stuart Maitland-Knibb (Chair) - Director of the National Centre for Remote and Rural Medicine, University of Central Lancashire.
