Levelling the playing field in Rural Pre Hospital care
The new GMC credentials in Remote, Rural, Urgent and Unscheduled care
10th September 2025, 19:00 to 20:00 BST
Overview
There is a new credential system for select areas of competency in the GMC. One of the credentials is the Remote Rural Urgent and Unscheduled care. This is designed to address the Tens of millions of patients living outside the major trauma systems in the UK. Where definitive ultra specialist care is neither available nor practical to deliver. But that shouldn’t mean patients are unacceptably disadvantaged. Yes there may be compromise to ultra specialist accepted by location but there should be a gold standard of care delivered for that location within the limits of location. This webinar will address this issue and how it is bringing extra education, governance and ultimately job satisfaction to the doctors providing that care. This is not all about roadside but bedside as well. Join us as one of the designers of the program and also one of the first 7 doctors in the UK to gain the credentialing standard from the GMC, as we discuss the program what it covers, what it means and how to access it.
