‘The Experts Foundation’ RCSEd International Postgraduate Deanery (IPD) role
21st October 2026, 14:30 to 15:30 BST
Overview
Colonel Paul Parker, Dean of the International Postgraduate Deanery (IPD) and Professor Chelliah Selvasekar, Deputy Dean IPD will host a webinar for surgeons in India interested in opportunities to continue their surgical training in the UK through our International Postgraduate Deanery scheme.
Aims
To maximise the chances of IMG trainees securing best placements in the UK and documenting their prior training.
Learning Objectives
Most IMGs enter UK at an intermediate stage of their career; the most difficult challenge is how to document any training they obtained in their own countries:
By the end of this webinar, attendees should have an understanding of:
- What is the International postgraduate deanery.
- How can we help you as an IMG?
- How to prepare/what evidence should you collect?
- How to not waste your earlier experience.
- RCSEd examinations and membership.
