Join Mr Lasitha Samarakoon, Colonel Paul Parker and Professor Professor Emad Saweeres who will be hosting this webinar for Egyptians interested in opportunities to continue their surgical training in the UK through our International Postgraduate Deanery scheme.

Aims

Most IMGs enter UK at an intermediate stage of their career; the most difficult challenge is how to document any training they obtained in their own countries This webinar aims to maximise the chances of IMG trainees securing best placements in the UK and documenting their prior training.

  • Professor Paul Parker

    Dean of the International Postgraduate Deanery

    Birmingham based Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon and a previous Trauma and Orthopaedic Lead within the Deanery. Trainer and teacher and spent ten years as an FRCS Orth examiner and two years as an examiner assessor. Paul has a lot of experience in adapting surgical training to the resource environment at hand due to his experience as a surgeon in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Mali, Sierra Leone, Iraq, Syria, Central America and the Balkans.
