Overview
This webinar aims to provide a practical, registrar level overview of abdominal transplant surgery including topics relevant to clinical practice and FRCS examination. It will also cover the principles of organ donation and retrieval.
Aims
To provide surgical trainees with an understanding of the principle of abdominal transplant surgery and to develop the ability to assess and manage transplant related scenarios at registrar level.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to describe the principles of organ donation and organ retrieval and structure answers to transplant-related clinical scenarios in the FRCS examination.

Our panellists include:
Mr Rohit Gaurav - Consultant transplant surgeon in Kidney, Pancreas, Liver and Multivisceral Transplantation. His clinical interests include normothermic regional perfusion, normothermic machine perfusion for liver transplantation and management of complex post-transplant hernias. His research focuses on viability assessment of marginal donor livers, outcomes of DCD liver transplantation and complex kidney and pancreas transplantation.
