Overview
This webinar will start with a brief introduction of transplant surgery in Nepal and discuss the challenges faced and milestones achieved which will be useful for not only resource limited countries but for developed world too. From more than 90% mortality due to kidney failure to 99% one year patient and graft survival over the period of 10 year of establishment of Transplant service is something worth knowing by clinicians, nurses, paramedics, social workers, lawyers, health policy makers and planners all over the world. This experience has shown how it can open the door to do complex transplant surgeries including Liver transplant and Brain Death Donor Transplants in developing world.
Aims
To share knowledge and experience of setting up of transplant program in resource limited countries with successful outcome comparable to that of the developed world.
