Overview
This webinar. aimed at Doctors in Training, will cover the development and implementation of REBOA. Some of the evidence base that supports the use of REBOA. Examples of REBOA application, and a look to the future to imagine how endovascular resuscitation might be used.
Panellists
Mr Max Marsden
Max is a General Surgery Registrar at the Royal London Hospital, London, UK. He has recently completed his PhD at the Centre for Trauma Sciences at QMUL. His PhD examines the impact of a machine learning system on effective decision making in pre-hospital trauma. The research was conducted with London’s Air Ambulance and several Major Trauma Centres in London and the South of England. Alongside his decision making research Max assisted with clinical studies and education on the use of REBOA. In this role Max worked alongside London’s Air Ambulance REBOA programme and is a founding member of the UK military’s REBOA programme.
Mr Phill Pearce
Phill Pearce is an ST7 HPB trainee at the Royal London Hospital. In addition to HPB, he has interests in trauma and emergency general surgery.
