A webinar aimed at medical undergraduates, which will focus on the assessment and optimisation of Peri-operative fluid status.
Speakers
Mr James Day
James is an anesthetic and ICM consultant in Oxford. At one point he was a surgical SHO for a year. He is the preop lead for his trust and has special interests in cardiopulmonary exercise testing. He also has completed level 2 echocardiography training and runs a preoperative echocardiography clinic.
Ms Emma Stapleton
Emma is a Consultant Otolaryngologist and Skull Base Surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Salford Royal Hospital, and RCSEd Regional Surgical Adviser for the North West. She is also a member of the RCSEd’s committee of Younger Fellows. Her clinical role and research interests include cochlear implantation, complex otology, lateral skull base surgery, NF2 and balance. She is a member of one of the busiest skull base teams in the UK, and also enjoys editing roles at ENT UK and ENT and Audiology News magazine. She is Honorary Secretary of the North of England Otolaryngology Society, leading a current drive to increase and enhance student and trainee involvement in the Society. She is Consultant lead for a national mentorship scheme in ENT. She is heavily involved in teaching locally, nationally and internationally, and is delighted to have the opportunity to deliver this RCSEd webinar on cranial nerve palsies.
