This webinar is being delivered by the RCSEd committee for Specialty Doctors, Associate Specialist, Specialist Grade & Locally employed surgeons’ committee (SASL).
Many SAS and locally employed surgeons consider the portfolio pathway or the specialist grade as possible routes for career progression. This webinar aims to discuss the differences between these two career options, and review the requirements for demonstrating the necessary competencies.
Aims
- Discuss the differences between portfolio pathway and the specialist grade.
- Review the principles of competencies required for the portfolio pathway and specialist grade
- Consider the categories of evidence required to demonstrate these competencies.
- Discuss types of evidence that can be used for the portfolio pathway and specialist grade.
