Operating at Your Best: The Surgeon’s Guide to Movement, Rest and Nutrition

15th January 2026, 19:00 to 20:00 GMT

Overview

Too often as surgeons we prioritise our patients and forget to think about ourselves. Join the RCSEd Trainee Committee and the fantastic Dr Kate Ella (former orthopaedic surgeon, personal trainer and wellbeing coach) as we explore what you can do to look after yourself, not just your patients, both at work and home. Covering movement, rest and nutrition, we will take a deep dive into all the small ways we can make our working lives healthier and be the best version of ourselves.

Aims

Improve surgeons’ wellbeing through movement rest and nutrition education.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this webinar the participant should be able to understand how best to approach on calls – both during the day and overnight; as well as how best to fuel their bodies for long theatre days and ways to incorporate beneficial movement into their day to improve physical health.
